Job Description

Longbridge is seeking a Front-end Web Developer to join our Marketing team. As a front-end developer, reporting to the Director of Marketing Strategy and Analytics, you will be responsible for the user interface of our website and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing our website to enhance user experience and drive business growth. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript and a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. Your duties will include but not limited to: turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code, and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind. You will also be responsible for implementing new features to our WordPress website, handling the integration of plugins such as GravityForm, working with the Information Security team to ensure proper security protocols are in place, and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations.

Below are some of the responsibilities a front-end developer is expected to assume but are not limited to:Designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites to ensure optimal performance, usability, and responsiveness.Build web applications with web development best practices.Working with the technical development team, transform 'app' designs into front-end code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptWork with the technical development team to integrate UI components with APIs and databases.Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design.Implementing and managing website experiments, A/B tests, and multivariate tests using VWO or similar platforms to optimize user experience and conversion rates.Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations.On-site search engine optimization (SEO).Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code.Define and execute proper backup processes and procedures for all codeCollaborating with cross-functional teams including designers, marketers, and content creators to translate business requirements into engaging web experiences.Staying up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance our websites and experiment methodologies.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field preferred.Proven experience as a WordPress Web Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing WordPress websites you have designed and developed.In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and customization techniques.Experience working with website optimization and experimentation platforms such as VWO, Google Optimize, Optimizely, or similar tools.Minimum of 3 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptProficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA.Working knowledge of SEO principles.Basic proficiency with Photoshop and web design.Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing.Excellent verbal and written skills as well as experience interfacing with numerous departments.Senior leadership presentation experience.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SEO best practices and techniques for optimizing WordPress websites for search engines.Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques and tools such as GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights, or similar.Financial services experience is preferred.Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.Certification in WordPress development or website optimization is a plus.When submitting your resume please include examples of previous work (portfolio attachment or link preferred).
