JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision and direction of the Marketing & Public Relations Manager, the Sponsorship & Social Media Coordinator responsibilities include solicitation, negotiation and execution of all major park district partnerships while maximizing sponsorship revenue, creating social media content; including text posts, video and images for use on social media. The H-F Park District's mission statement is "to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities and parks while caring for the environment".

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.Successfully launch and implement sponsorship program. Work to evaluate, refine and improve sponsorship strategies and further develop the overall sponsorship program.Meet with appropriate staff as needed to discuss ways to maximize all partnerships, review status and leveraging possibilities of current relationships.Develop and implement overall sponsorship sales strategy.Identify and continually update prospect list.Arrange meetings with interested sponsor prospects.Tailor sponsorship sales materials and promotional programs to targeted categories and companies.Prepare all sponsor sales materials including proposals, contracts, and promotional agreements.Negotiate sponsorships and review all deals.Create sponsorship activation timetables well in advance of scheduled events.Build and maintain a social media strategy.Coordinate sale of advertising space on district's marketing collateral including, but not limited to, seasonal brochures.Photograph/record video at Park District events during normal business hours, plus weekends and evenings as necessary.Coordinate marketing and promotional efforts via social media of all departments while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relations with all district staff.Adheres to all the policies and procedures.Active participant in professional development opportunities including, but not limited to, IPRA and SSPRPA.Attend conferences, workshops and seminars.All other related job duties as assigned by the Marketing & Public Relations Manager.COGNITIVE SKILLS REQUIRED:

Must be able to read, write and organize materials.Ability to work in teams and independently with all types of people.Must be able to troubleshoot and solve problems in the best interest of the park district.Ability to exercise good judgment in keeping with the mission of the park district.Must be a self-starter willing to work with minimal supervision.JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and budget management best practices preferred.Advanced knowledge & experience with social media platforms including Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube preferred.Exceptional communication, organization & time-management skills.Initiative, persistence, creativity, and the ability to be a positive park district ambassador.Proficient in writing, photography, advertising, marketing, promotion, proofreading, video, social networking, etc. preferred.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and understanding of design best practices a plus.EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising or other related field preferredThree years' experience in Public Relations or Marketing preferredMust have a valid driver's license.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:STANDING:
