Do you know everything there is to know about Google? Do you want to cover some of the world’s biggest tech brands for an engaged audience of millions? If the answer is yes, you could be our next hire!Android Police is looking for an Android/Google Editor to edit and guide the direction of some of the website’s most important coverage. The role will be instrumental to AP’s Android, Google, and wider industry reporting. You’ll be writing about some of the biggest changes in Google products, plus editing work from our freelance team.Job ResponsibilitiesOversee Android Police’s coverage of some of the world’s biggest tech brands. This role will focus on Android the platform and Google the company, with the opportunity to cover other brands as wellContribute to Android Police’s coverage of industry topics, including writing news, editorials, and deep dive featuresCommission writers, as well as editing and reviewing the work of authors, and maintaining author relationshipsGenerate original stories and ideas for coverage across your beatWork with the Editor-in-Chief to ensure stable operation and achievement of targetsContribute to the creation pipeline for various different types of contentOccasionally contribute to multimedia projects such as podcasts, videos, and social media postsRepresent Android Police at industry eventsEnsure deadlines are met for your work and the writers you’ve commissionedApplication RequirementsCVCover Letter (tell us why you’d be a good fit!)Links to your portfolio or previous work on a tech siteApplicants must have a self-starter attitude and possess the following requirements:Relevant experience in editing (5+ years) in the English languageExpert knowledge of consumer technology, specifically Android and the devices that run itExperience interacting with technology PR and brand representativesExperience working with a CMSWorking knowledge of SEO trends and topicsAble to travel both domestically and internationally on occasionFull-time availabilityMust reside in the U.S. or CanadaThe hiring team at Android Police will get back to you as soon as possible if we think you'd make a solid addition to the team.
