If you're a collaborative engineer or scientist who has a passion for innovation, solving challenging technical problems and doing impactful work like building the world's first optical computers, consider joining the team at Lightmatter.As Lightmatter’s lead UI/UX design engineer, you will be responsible for authoring our user-facing stories, helping Lightmatter to sell our groundbreaking photonic systems for computing and networking. You will be responsible for all aspects of the customer-device interaction, working with developers, field application engineers, product managers, and Lightmatter’s marketing and sales teams. You will lead decision-making on the frameworks that we will use in current and future products. The ideal candidate owns the technical content for delivering UI experiences, and also encapsulates Lightmatter’s brand and delivers a consistent experience to the customer.Responsibilities

Design and develop the user experience for Lightmatter’s photonic computing appliancesGenerate workflows for onboarding, configuration, maintenance and managementCreate storyboards, wireframes, and models for UI/UX flows using tools such as Sketch, Marvel or FigmaWork with product, marketing, and sales teams to deliver a consistent and exciting brand experienceEvaluate, socialize and drive selection of frameworks for product development and UX tech stacksBachelor’s +8 years of industry experienceExperience with API-first approachAbility to manage data and provide insightsFamiliarity with GUI frameworks such as: React, Angular, QT, Tkl/TkFamiliarity with scriptable CLI environmentsExperience with UX design research activitiesWorkflow modelingPersona generationStoryboardingUsability analysisPreferred QualificationsAble to design and refine UI/UX development processEnterprise systems experience
