U-Haul Self-Storage Department is looking for a Marketing Strategist that will be responsible for establishing and implementing appropriate rate schedules as well as coordinati ng timely establishment of new and conversion construction projects with various internal teams .

The ideal candidate is also expected to effective ly engage communication with U-Haul field staff as well as resident construction team to have a hand in seeing the marketing needs . The candidate is also desired to possess high analytical skills, very strong verbal and written communicat ion , high level of attention to detail and very well organized. We are looking for a person that can wear many hats, work independently, efficiently, communicate effectively, and has a strong attention to detail that will support our field teams in U . S. states and Canadian provinces.

Essential Duties:

Establish and maintain appropriate self-storage rental rate schedules

Analyze competitor rates for a designated area and trends over time, determine the need for a rate change and make recommendations

Resolve operational challenges via continued communication with U-Haul field teams

Ensure all U-Haul self-storage operations are within the boundaries of company policies and procedures, continue to be part of their development and update

Provide support to U-Haul Field executives with analysis and data in regard to their specific area of responsibility

C oordinate creation /delivery of marketing materials for corporate and field teams such as: business plan, self-storage layouts, facility maps, navigational facility directories, rate menu boards, and other signage needs via resident Technical Illustrators

Interpret construction layout, security plan and diagrams provided to make sure that the current marketing documentation is accurate and coordinate current/future updates via various internal teams

Effectively inquire and correspond to all related U-Haul teams with construction development and facility related changes to related documentation concisely and accurately

M anage a variety of tasks within a tight time schedule

Actively coordinating internal teams for successful delivery of projects

Stay up to speed of industry trends and know how

Other duties performed occasionally or infrequently:

Perform special projects assigned by division VP and other U-Haul senior management

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Management or related field required

Graduate degree preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of marketing experience desired

Skills/Required Knowledge/Tools:

Professional Knowledge (desired):

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint )
