CAD/Structural Designer

Accord Carton is seeking a full-time CAD/Structural Designer to work in our Alsip, Illinois location.
This position will provide structural design for trials, sales proposals, production approvals and provide support in areas of tooling.
Responsibilities:
Providing design prototype samples for customers based on the product and instructions from the customer and sales representatives sample requests.Duplicate any structures customers send as their preferred package structure.Use of CAD system to design structures, die layouts, product sizes, and styles.Ordering Die.Communicating with customers, and department managers.Output layout information to the laser die maker to produce production die boards.Maintaining files product structures.Ensuring changes are properly approved and documented.Maintenance and service of CAD equipment and computers.
Experience/Skills :
Four plus years of experience as a CAD/Structural Designer in the Folding Carton Industry is highly desirable.College degree in Engineering is preferred.Must have experience in packaging structural design using a CAD system.Ability to operate various types of tooling machinery.
