Responsibilities:Perform and/or manage traffic and parking studies, signal design, adaptive signal systems, Complete Streets planning and design, intersection design, temporary traffic control plans, Road Safety Audits (RSA), Highway Safety Manual (HSM) analysis, traffic calming, traffic operational analysis and simulations, traffic data collection, Transportation Management Plans (TMP), ITS Concepts of Operations and System Engineering Reports, and other related traffic and transportation engineering workPrepare or review written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reportsPrepare or review calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reportsManage coordination with clients

Qualifications Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering15+ years of progressive traffic and transportation engineering experienceConnecticut P.E. licenseCTDOT traffic and transportation engineering design experienceDesirable:MS in Transportation EngineeringA PTOE, PTP and/or PMP certificationProficiency with MUTCD and AASHTOExperience with traffic analysis and simulation software (Synchro, HCS and/or Vissim)Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStationDemonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers and designers
