Description: Puget Sound Pipe is a premier wholesale distributor of pipe, valves and fittings in the Pacific Northwest & Alaska. We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join the team as an Expeditor at our Anchorage, AK location. This person would be responsible for communicating with our vendors to insure the on-time shipment of orders to our customers. We operate one of the most organized and well stocked Warehouse and Pipe Yards in Anchorage. Supplying Pipe, Valves, and Fittings to the Oil & Gas, Mechanical Contracting and Plumbing industries.
Hired candidates will be working onsite at the branch location. There is no relocation assistance available.

Expeditor Basic Duties:Check due-dates on new orders placedContinually communicate with vendors, to insure on-time shipmentsCommunicate information to fellow team membersReport information into internal computer system and customer data baseFile old / shipped orders accordinglyComplete Excel spreadsheet reports for customer as requiredAnswer phones and distribute callsSpecial projects as assigned
Expeditor Desired Experience/Skills:Outgoing with positive attitudeDetail orientedAbility to multi-taskMotivated and/or desire to achieve high success rate of on-time shipmentWork independently and as a team playerStrong oral communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsWorking knowledge of MS Windows and Excel a plusRequirements:
HS Diploma or equivalencyPass pre-employment drug screenPass Background Check
