Job Description:· Seeking candidates with experience in any of the following areas:· Engineering support and project leadership within a production system.· Direct engagement working with/for aerospace suppliers or airlines.· Validating/demonstrating compliance to regulatory requirements.· Working with regulators.· Design for manufacturing.· Aircraft cargo compartment and handling system design, integration, and/or certification.
Responsibilities:· Develops, integrates and documents interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.· Performs or oversees approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.· Manages supplier performance, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.· Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.· Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.· Develops, maintains and modifies interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Experience:· 5+ years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience· Experience leading a cross-functional team
Education:· Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering
