BCRI Social Media Coordinator

Founded in 1992, Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. (BCRI) is a nonprofit behavioral health services organization based in Baltimore City. Primarily serving low-income communities in Baltimore and Maryland, BCRI provides call center services, mobile crisis response, residential treatment, case management, EMS/LE diversion, and community outreach. BCRI's mission to provide timely and effective community-based services in the least restrictive environment. In the last two years, BCRI has expanded its services and operations immensely, increasing workforce by around 60% and creating new service lines and locations to provide crisis and behavioral health services to more communities than ever before. However, this recent expansion of BCRI's services to new regions and populations has resulted in a need for administrative capacity to support the resulting increase in scale and impact. The goal of this project is to build capacity and sustainability for BCRI in various administrative areas of focus so that BCRI can maximize its expansion to serve communities of Maryland as effectively as possible. The VISTA Social Media Coordinator will help BCRI expand the scale and reach of BCRI's online impact, such as improving and operating its social media, creating a digital messaging toolkit, and expanding BCRI's existing online presence. The Social Media Coordinator will collaborate with BCRI staff and board members, external stakeholders, and other behavioral health providers to promote awareness, engage the community online, destigmatize mental health, and build sustainable best practices that will support BCRI's expansion. BCRI is seeking applicants with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and a high school diploma. Preferred qualifications are 2-5 years of relevant experience and some college education, preferably a bachelor's degree or greater. Other desired skills include professionalism, teamwork, writing/editing skills, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Member Duties :

The VISTA Social Media Coordinator will develop and implement a social media/online engagement plan that will establish a framework for improving and empowering BCRI's social media usage and online activities to connect with its service population, other providers, and community stakeholders. They will also improve and operate BCRI's social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat to expand BCRI's impact and outreach to the community. The VISTA Social Media Coordinator will also create a digital social media toolkit with a collection of digital messaging for social media and for external stakeholders and interested parties, or for online newsletters or press releases to the general public. They will also update and operates BCRI's website to promote accessibility, interactivity, and aesthetic appeal for so that BCRI has a strong first impression online and can utilize its website as a true one-stop resource for interested persons.
