Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Usability Researcher to join the Grid Software team that creates and leads a usability strategy for a team focused on building software for the power industry. This role will help establish a reputation of world-class solutions in the power industry, by delivering strategic usability outcomes which directly impact product and the business.

Job Responsibilities

:

Frame, scope, and lead execution of usability efforts

Analyze user interfaces and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement

Conduct testing for design concepts and user experience

Report test findings to the development and UX teams

Provide recommendations based on findings to improve interface designs

Define and document design standards that drive future interface improvements

Support usability test recruitment activities

Eligibility Requirements

:

5+ years of practical experience in usability

Bachelor Degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction or Cognitive Sciences or related field.

Able to legally work in Mexico. This position can work remotely within Mexico.

Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

Analytic Software experience (Qualtrix or similar user testing analytics software)

Expertise in and knowing when to apply the range of usability methods with experience with collecting and reporting qualitative measurements.

Must be organized, able to act independently and able to switch between projects in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Ability to travel within and outside the United States.

Desired Characteristics

:

Experience using prototyping software (Figma, Miro or similar)

Experience maintaining usability reporting system

Leads and oversees and recommends both short- and long-term usability activities, creating a plan

Leads and oversees and conducts qualitative and quantitative activities

Leads and oversees the creation and communication of artifacts, findings, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders

Leads planning of usability tests and contributes to the analysis and synthesis of findings

High attention to detail; extremely strong written and verbal communication skills

Deep knowledge of modern tools

Creates, analyzes and manages projects that provide direct business benefit.
