I am recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer, Streaming Media who is passionate about building engaging video application products for a massive user base. As a Senior Software Engineer, Streaming Media, you will join a world-class team of engineers contributing to award-winning and complex platforms.
The Senior Software Engineer, Streaming Media must have a strong background in delivering high-quality video streaming experiences via HLS and/or DASH and understands OTT integrations and video player frameworks.

Role & Responsibilities:Create large scale global products for live events, on demand content, and other video applicationsJoin a team in solving challenging problems and enhancing digital products for an engaged user experienceDesign and build complex streaming experiences applications with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and high reliabilityUse HLS and DASH to deliver high-quality video streaming experiences across web, mobile and OTT devicesConfigure and optimize SRT and RTMP for streaming video contentParticipate in development, cloud architecture, and agile process methodologyMaintain and expand upon knowledge of multiple languages, frameworks, tools, devices, applications, and their capabilitiesLead and take ownership of critical projects and your own initiativesCollaborate with a team of extraordinary engineers and streaming media technologistsInfluence the innovation of video products used by millions of users worldwideFull lifecycle software development: requirements gathering, design, develop, test, deploy, and supportAssist in changing the way content is consumed by users across various digital platforms
Skills & Experience Needed:5+ Years of experience streaming media engineeringStrong Backend API Development experienceExpert level Java and/or Python coding experienceUnderstanding of distributed systems + closed loop streaming ecosystemsHighly proficient in delivering high-quality video streaming experiences via HLS and/or DASHSkilled in video QoE metrics, ABR algorithms, and video player frameworksFamiliar with Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) platforms and OTT integrationsUnderstands Event Driven systems, patterns, and best practicesExperience with SRT and RTMP for delivering video streams over the internetCloud experience with AWS and/or GCPExperience with Docker, KubernetesExperience with infrastructure as code - TerraformBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math or similar
