We are seeking Senior Mechanical Designers to join our innovative team engaged in the aerospace sector. This role is critical in advancing the capabilities of aerospace technologies through expert design and engineering. The successful candidates will be instrumental in the development and optimization of design processes for aerospace components and systems.Responsibilities:Design and create 3D models and detailed drawings for aerospace equipment, facilities, and schematics.Maintain and refine structural product definitions, prepare design layouts, modify existing designs, and resolve design discrepancies.Provide technical input to design teams and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project schedules and requirements.Manage large CAD assemblies and maintain precise documentation and file management using Windchill.Collaborate across various teams to support production, launch systems, and other operational units.Top 3-5 Technical Skills Needed:Proficiency in Creo and Windchill; familiarity with Catia is advantageous.Extensive experience in drafting and working with large assemblies.Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Experience in aerospace tooling is preferred but not required; open to candidates from any industry with relevant skills.Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically developing models and creating detailed drawings.Experience with mechanical, weldment design, and component integration.Proficient in creating fabrication and installation drawings using Creo.Knowledgeable about ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41, and familiar with applicable drafting standards.Experience with other CAD packages such as Catia, DELMIA, and SolidWorks is desired.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage complex assemblies.U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
