SUMMARY:

The Heritage Auctions Design Team is passionate about building world-class enterprise and web solutions. We are on a mission to equip our company with productive tools that innovate the way we do business to deliver amazing client experiences. Design at Heritage is a human-centered approach focused on curious research and passionate problem-solving. Design solutions are negotiated out of user needs, data insights, business goals, and industry standards. We are hiring a talented UX/UI Design professional to join our Design team, responsible for client-facing web pages and mobile applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with Designers, Web Developers, Web Producers, Project Managers and Graphic Artists to produce well-integrated and easy-to-use interfaces for our website and mobile application software.

Conduct user research and testing to understand user needs, pain points, and incorporate feedback into design iterations.

Develop overall concepts for the user experience that are intuitive and easy to use.

Maintain a strong understanding of responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experience across all devices.

Create visually appealing and user-friendly UI elements that optimize product discovery and conversion rates.

Design mockups and interactive prototypes to convey project plans to clients and management.

Plan and execute various forms of user testing such as usability tests, A/B testing, and field studies to validate hypotheses and refine designs. Must be adept at synthesizing feedback and iterating designs based on user data.

Champion design standards for consistent experiences across solutions.

Update and maintain design system.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven portfolio showcasing a strong ability to design user-friendly and visually captivating interfaces.

Knowledge of design best practices and trends.

Ability to break complex problems into simple and elegant solutions.

Positive, proactive, and helpful attitude with an ability to motivate others.

QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX/UI design

Proficient in Figma:

Must be skilled at using Figma for designing and prototyping.

Apply best practices in naming convention of layers, components, frames, variables, variants etc.

Strong understanding of when to use variants, variables, and properties for the most efficient designs and handoffs.

Continually update skills with the latest Figma releases to enhance design processes.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design decisions.

Experienced in leveraging Figma’s dev-mode for efficient design-to-development handoffs, ensuring designs are both practical and developer-friendly.

Strong presentation skills to confidently showcase design ideas to stakeholders.

Continued education and research into UI trends and current design strategy and technology.
