UX/UI Designer (Ecommerce) - remote freelance

Our client, a major media publisher has an immediate need for a UX/UI Designer with E-commerce experience. This is a 3 month contract (40 hours a week) with potential to extend that is fully remote. Must be US based, PST hours preferred.
You'll be involved in every project phase - from initial concepts to final production - encompassing information architecture and finely-tuned visuals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to influence the design culture within our team and make a substantial impact.
ResponsibilitiesJoin a small team of designers and engineers and help to shape E-Commerce experienceCraft every detail of projects, from initial idea through to production Work closely with the rest of our design team to ensure our bar of quality extends across all aspects of our brandCreate design systems, prototypes and whatever else is needed to bring great ideas to lifeCollaborate with teams across the company to bring initiatives and new products to market using novel design and storytelling solutionsDevelop a deep understanding of brand language and help extend it to other parts of the brand.Contribute to building design systems within Figma
RequirementsAt least 4 years experience in an agency or in-house environment designing e-commerce experiencesOutstanding portfolio of relevant workExcellence in visual design and typographic skillsSelf-starter who brings new ideas to the tableStrong presentation and communication skillsAble to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentGood knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Experience with media/publishing a plus
