Troy Consulting, a Management Consulting Firm, is seeking a Technical Writer for our client, in Redmond, Washington...this is a hybrid position!

The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files. This is a hybrid role!

*****A portfolio will need to be included upon submission. Portfolio should contain a few samples/examples of previous content work such as: walkthrough videos, guided practice, user documentation*****

Job Responsibilities:Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminologyMaintain records and files of work and revisionsConfer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publicationThe best candidate is proactive, owns and drives their work by initiating and following up with othersPerformance indicators –

Meeting deadlines, creating great content – drive more views and usage on contentPurpose of this team

– This person will work on customer and partner documentation as a part of the product operations team. This team ensures that documentation for processes and tools are up to date and of good quality

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications preferred2-4 years experience requiredTechnical Writing – APIs in documentation experience instead of just UI experienceStructuring documentation to drive user participationFigmaManaging push/pull merge requests through Repos (such as GitHub)Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audienceExcellent writing, editing, and communication skillsAbility to read some programming codeCritical thinking and problem-solving skills
