Tri-State Bobcat, a premier leader in compact equipment is adding to our team! We are looking for a Equipment Service Writer to deliver outstanding customer service, is detailed on paperwork, and can manage the work process from beginning to end. This position is in Burnsville, M-F 7:30-5:00, paying from $26.00 to $29.00 an hour with great company benefits and career advancement!
Position Summary:
The Equipment Service Writer is responsible for working with customers to determine their service and repair needs for the multiple lines of construction and outdoor power equipment the company represents. Success in this position requires superior customer service, effective scheduling of work to be completed, technical knowledge of the equipment being repaired, maintaining high standards for work completed and prompt and proper processing of invoices. The Equipment Service Writer has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational ability and excellent attention to detail. Consistent work hours with no evenings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consults with customers and creates estimates for necessary equipment service and repair workEnsures that customer approves and signs off on details and costs of equipment work to be completedCreates work orders and schedules work to be completedMonitors progress of work by service technicians and any needed parts ordersKeeps customers updated as to progress of work and any issues which may arisePerforms final quality check before customer is notified that work is completedResponsible for the prompt and proper processing of all invoicesAddresses customer issuesCommunicates with other departments regularly to ensure all internal work orders are processed as neededSupervises technicians and mechanics, sets work direction based on work ordersManages shop supplies and tool replacement needs, company uniformsRequirements:
A minimum of two years' experience in equipment service and repair operationsExperience with CDK IntelliDealer software or similar softwareSuperior customer service skillsStrong mechanical aptitudeExcellent attention to detailAbility to prioritize work and meet deadlinesExcellent verbal communication and organizational skillsSkilled in use of MS Office applicationsCompany Benefits:
