The Capital One US Card Business is transforming Marketing Operations to be a catalyst, enabling business teams to achieve their goals through the adoption of marketing automation (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) capabilities supported by well managed delivery processes.

This exciting new Marketing Operations Leadership role will be at the helm of leading the operations transformation and modernization of owned-digital channel marketing for Card, bringing together an agile operating model, scaling, and change management to take advantage of modern Martech and Data capabilities.Capital One provides a fast paced, dynamic environment where you can excel in your career. Evangelize the spirit of transformation across the team so that it’s a part of every marketer’s job, and permeates everything that we do.

Develop resourcing and capacity models to help us prioritize investments and resources to drive the marketing transformation program forward, own the dashboards and reporting for those models, embedding feedback loops to continue optimizing the process.

Lead cross-functional Marketing Operations Transformation team to migrate marketing emails to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, establishing the foundation for journey orchestration across channels

Improve campaign effectiveness by enabling personalization and experimentation at scale through the adoption and integration of new MarTech and data capabilities in the marketing operations process.

Drive efficiency of campaign builds through automation and optimization of the end-to-end process.

Articulate the future state of how we want marketing to function at Capital One, including how we work (operations), how to best take advantage of technology capabilities (platform and data), and how our marketing capabilities evolve in-line with marketing strategy.

Translate that vision into an actionable ops and change management strategy and roadmap that takes us from our current to future state to a clearly articulated target, bringing along senior leaders in Card segments as well as Enterprise partners.

Build sponsorship and advocacy for that future state with senior Segment and Marketing leaders across the Card business; rallying them around a unified vision.

Champion the development and delivery of a holistic change management strategy and plan.

Operates with an ownership mindset, proactively identify problems and engage the right people to understand and solve them

Effective storyteller with SVP+ audiences, contextualizing the problem statements, the vision, the work, and influencing/shaping the thinking of others at the SVP+ level

Well-grounded perspective based on a diverse set of data sources, including best practices and insights from outside of the walls of Capital One

Manages highly complex scope autonomously and drive results through others, including dotted line cross-functional teams

Effectively recruits, manages, develops, inspires, and retains a large, multi-job family team spanning product, marketing, process, and operations roles

Effectively leads and coaches others, even without direct accountability

Creates blueprints and frameworks from your work/problem solving that other teams can easily understand and use, driving horizontal impact

Strikes the right balance between urgent and important, can add structure in places of ambiguity and know when to escalate issues

Handles differing opinions with grace and maturity

Highly customer- and associate-focused (always thinking "how would a customer experience this?")

Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or Military experience

At least 5 years Marketing Operations experience in a leadership capacity

At least 2 years of experience working in marketing automation platforms

At least 2 years of experience planning, executing and analyzing marketing operations programs

Preferred QualificationsSalesforce Marketing Cloud Certification

Masters degree in marketing or business

5+ years of experience in marketing operations for financial services or highly regulated industry

5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity

BPM, Lean, PMP Certifications

2+ years leveraging Workfront or other project management systems

Adobe Workfront Project Manager Professional Certification

2+ years experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other Marketing Automation Platforms software

2+ years of Risk Management experience
