Brief Description of Duties:
Obtain insurance verification, authorizations and pre-certifications.Schedule diagnostic imaging, injections and surgical procedures.Answer calls from physician offices and patients.Accurately enter required information into computer systems.Reviews structured data matched it against specified medical terms and diagnoses or procedure codes and follow established procedures for authorizing request or referring request for further reviewOther duties as assignedCome Join the Roswell Park Care Network! https://www.roswellpark.org/carenetwork

High School diploma or G.E.D.1 year of experience in Prior Authorization in any medical specialty- Oncology is a plusDemonstrated knowledge of CPT, ICD9 and ICD10Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance proceduresStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
