Overview

AARP Services, Inc., founded in 1999, is a wholly-owned taxable subsidiary of AARP. AARP Services manages the provider relationships for and performs quality control oversight of the wide range of products and services that carry the AARP name and are made available by independent providers as benefits to AARP's millions of members. The provider offers currently span health products, financial products, travel and leisure products, and life event services. Specific products include Medicare supplemental insurance; credit cards, auto and home, mobile home and motorcycle insurance, life insurance and annuities; member discounts on rental cars, cruises, vacation packages and lodging; special offers on technology and gifts; pharmacy services and legal services. AARP Services also engages in new product development activities for AARP and provides certain consulting services to outside companies.

As the Marketing Manager within the Lifestyle Marketing team, your role is pivotal in cultivating strategic partnerships to drive the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns aimed at enhancing AARP member value and increasing AARP member engagements. You will ensure that all marketing strategies are aligned with overarching organizational goals and objectives. Beyond overseeing partner marketing campaigns, you'll be actively involved in monitoring and assessing their performance, swiftly adapting marketing strategies to navigate market dynamics and competitive landscapes. Collaboration with matrix partners is critical to your role, as you'll spearhead initiatives to optimize marketing excellence, and introduce innovative approaches to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing team. Furthermore, fostering solid relationships with external partners is paramount.

Responsibilities

Supports internal and/or external teams and clients by creating proposals, presentations, and other materials using product/program information, data, and media insights. Assists with planning, creation, and execution of various strategic marketing communications.Consults and collaborates with cross-functional teams, colleagues, and leadership to deliver effective programs and other client offerings that advance organizational goals.Monitors the competitive landscape and market trends to identify new opportunities for the organization to shape products, programs, and/or services most relevant to the target audience.Provides guidance on marketing best practices and campaign strategies to colleagues and/or external partners as necessary. Advises campaign stakeholders about next steps, opportunities, and risks based on best practices and lessons learned.Observes, reviews, and measures the campaign outcomes, proactively elevating lessons learned to key stakeholders.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field; Master's Degree in a related field a plus.5+ years of experience in marketing, direct response marketing, communications, account management, or creative agency marketing. Industry product and services knowledge in travel, retail, and technology categories a plus.Previous experience in direct-to-consumer marketing, especially in digital, social media, alternative media, direct mail, and print channels.Ability to influence marketing plans and manage 10-15 accounts for leading industry brands across multiple business partners.Must have excellent written, verbal, visual/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to influence stakeholders.Proven strategic thinking and analytical skills to direct efficient marketing spend and prudent quality control.Extensive relationship management and project management skills as well as the ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders.Willingness and ability to work in a large matrix environment with a fast and efficient pace to manage large provider accounts effectively.Additional Requirements

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
