Our Senior Manager will have a record of encouraging and leading Digital Marketing specialists to breakthrough success. The successful candidate has a diverse background in Digital Marketing, especially Content Marketing, Web production, the Marketing stack, demand generation, Web Analytics and SEO. They will be passionate about the digital customer experience and obsessed with building Thermo Fisher Scientific revenue through eCommerce and the funnel.

A Day in the Life

Manage a team of digital marketing professionals to craft and handle web storefront, product page, and email production workflows aiming towards efficiency in developing the high-quality and useful content that helps us achieve our shared business goals

Work with our partners in Marketing Communications, Vertical, Product, and Regional Marketing, ensuring that the return on investment of scientific content development is made clear and present to our contributors

Develop expertise on our analytical systems (SalesForce, Power BI and Adobe Analytics) and use the data to conduct tests and investigations designed to improve important digital metrics

Collaborate enthusiastically and efficiently with peers on the eBusiness Marketing leadership team

Identify and enable Digital and Content Marketing vendors who can assist with accelerating critical metrics.

Master the procurement and payment systems required for vendor support and work with eBusiness Marketing peers and Marketing Operations colleagues on keeping spend on track.

Work strategically with Corporate Marketing and eBusiness to implement centrally-funded strategies and technologies, especially when there is improvement opportunity for CMD objectives

Participate in process improvement workshops across CMD and Thermo Fisher

Keys to success

Education

BA/BS or MA/MS in Marketing, IT, or comparable experience

Experience

7+ years progressing through positions of growing responsibility in high-tech, B2B digital marketing organizations.

3+ years of experience leading or mentoring a web production team and developing digital team members or serving as a reliable point of contact for a team.

Proven and sustained success driving and implementing web content initiatives at a multinational, matrixed company.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledge of web production tactics, tools and technology. Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager is a plus.

Proven expertise managing digital marketing tactics, including web content production, taxonomy, internal and external Search Engine Optimization (SEO), content development, asset gating, and conversion rate optimization

Demonstrated experience defining and optimizing production processes

Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with colleagues in Commercial, Marketing, eBusiness, Information Technology, Human Resources, Accounting, and Legal

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, time management and interpersonal skills

Keen attention to detail and a high regard for quality

Strong organization, verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to travel 1-2 weeks per quarter for team, project, and business meetings

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $130,000.00–$165,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
