Description:

The H+H Content Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing. The Content Marketing Manager's primary role is to create written communications that drive both earned and contributed revenue. While playing a critical role in the institution achieving its revenue goals, the Content Marketing Manager is also the organizational voice that increases awareness and builds new audiences for H+H.

With a priority focus of creating and deploying an organization-wide communications plan which currently includes email, organic social media, and direct mail, the Content Marketing Manager is part of a dynamic, cross-departmental team of marketing and communications professionals with the shared goal of increasing the organization's visibility through compelling brand-driven communications. The Content Marketing Manager must have superior written and verbal communications skills, be technically savvy, and possess a working knowledge of marketing and communications, all with a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Email Campaigns for Marketing and DevelopmentExecutes email campaigns through WordFly.Creates graphics for email using Adobe InDesign, with support from H+H designers.Project manages the email approval process, with internal and external stakeholders.Provides periodic analytics of email campaigns.Project manages the content approval process.Uses our CRM, Tessitura, to pull mailing and analytical lists.Social Media Marketing

Manages H+H's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.Creates graphics for social media using Adobe InDesign, with support from H+H designers.Project manages the social media approval process, with internal and external stakeholders.Creates and deploys organic social media content through Hootsuite.Responds appropriately to messages and comments from social media users.Provides analytics of social media campaigns.Direct Mail for Development

Prepares direct mail for all Development Department Annual and Planned Giving and Continuo Program campaignsServes as copywriter for additional Development communications including invitations, social media and annual report.Marketing Department Operational Support

Manages all email and social media trade and paid advertising with partner organizations.Manages relationship with digital marketing (SEO, paid search, and paid social media) partnersUses our CRM, Tessitura, to update patron information as needed.Photographs dress rehearsals and other small-scale H+H events, for social media content.Assists in uploading and appropriately tagging photography in our photo archive, FlickrManages the H+H website, including managing content and making necessary updatesAssists with other operational tasks for the department, as necessary.Organizational Support

Serves as Box Office and phone reception back up, selling tickets, processing subscription orders, handling incoming phone calls.Serves as front-of-house support for concerts, including managing instrument demonstrations, staffing the H+H shop, and/or supporting the Patron Experience team.Supports H+H's Educational Programs and Concerts.Supports Community Concerts.Performs other duties as needed upon request of the organization.Qualifications:

2+ years of professional experience in in a marketing or communications roleBachelor's degree in marketing or related field from an accredited university or college.Superior written and verbal communication abilities are required.A welcoming demeanor and excellent hospitality skills for patrons required.Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, maturity, and good judgment.Systems experience with: spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets preferred), email marketing systems (WordFly preferred), social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Hootsuite, etc.), CRM (Tessitura preferred); website content management system CMS (Wordpress preferred); TRG list management; and design software (Adobe InDesign preferred)Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet multiple deadlines, organize time and priorities, and work well collaboratively as a member of the team. Ability to work occasional nights and weekends is a must.Experience with a performance arts organization is desirable.Knowledge of Baroque and Classical music and a desire to learn more about historically informed, period-instrument performances is a plus.Position requires occasional lifting of heavy printed materials, large boxes, and retail merchandise as well as the repetitive, daily use of a computer.
