OverviewHealthy Communities Consulting is seeking a Grant Writer/Project Associateto provide grant writing, project coordination, grant prospecting, administrative support, and data research.

At least 2 years’ experience working with or for health and human service non-profits, preferably in grant writing/development work.Healthy Communities Consulting is a boutique consulting firm specializing in grant writing and related services for non-profit health and human service agencies across the US. Our services include grant writing, grant prospecting, program development, budget development, grant submissions, grants management, research, evaluation plan development, evaluation and quality assurance, and strategic planning.Responsibilities·

Grant writing/support: This will include working closely with Healthy Communities Consulting’s Principals to prepare narrative drafts, including identifying required information, conducting research and compiling data, and writing narrative·

Grants prospecting: Includes identification of potential funders (government and private foundations), conducting weekly searches, compiling information on funder priorities, deadlines, previously funded grantees, etc.·

Data research: Compiling and incorporating updated data for grant applications, includes researching government and other websites for most recent data to analyze and include in grant applications·

RFA/NOFO analyses for clients: Compiling and communicating all requirements for specific funding opportunities, including eligibility, allowable/unallowable costs, attachment requirements, due dates, registration timelines, etc.·

Portal/electronic registrations: Registering client agencies with various funder portals, maintaining login credential information, updating as needed·

Grants.gov and other online forms/submissions: Will include assisting in submission procedures for grant applicationsQualifications·

Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years’ experience working with or for health and human service non-profits, preferably in grant writing/development work·

Ability to research and apply analytical skills to support program development·

Ability to prioritize multiple demands, work independently, and meet deadlines·

Strong coordination, organizational and communication skills, writing background a plus· Understanding of social determinants of health and issues facing marginalized populations (e.g., homelessness, HIV/AIDS, substance use, and mental illness, among others)
