The Business Development Proposal & Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end composition and packaging of high-quality proposals and marketing materials for the Business Development (BD) Team. This position plays a critical role in interpreting third-party procurement Request for Qualifications and/or Request for Proposals for the purposes of delivering compelling and innovative proposals and/or presentations on behalf of American Campus Communities (ACC) in pursuit of various real estate transactions. The Business Development Proposal & Marketing Manager supports the collaboration of multiple departments within American Campus Communities to establish winning pursuit strategies and strengthen ACC's position and brand in response to competitive procurements. This position will require ability to travel as needed and/or dictated by the business.

Critical Duties:Manage identified Public Private Partnership (P3) pursuit deliverables and proposal development plans to include, but not limited to: initial outlines, creating and communicating timelines and assignments, coordination and follow-up with partnering firms and/or vendors on deliverables and outlined timelines and assignments, conduct independent research related to elements of pursuit, collaborate as necessary with internal and external partners to collect and collate necessary information to create compelling narratives and messaging, identify and deliver pursuit materials from ideation through production/review and presentation, etc.Create and maintain dynamic and compelling templates designed to streamline proposal response processes representative of Company brand, including but not limited to: utilize various design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrate, etc.) to generate and update templates, graphics/icons, charts, statistics, relevant photo libraries, etc.Responsible for delivering unique marketing materials and creative graphic design as assigned for Business Development (BD), Corporate Marketing and Communications (MARCOM), and various business area needs to include, but not limited to: brochures, white papers, project profiles, digital materials and content, online flipbooks, interview materials and interactive partnership profiles, conference and presentation materials, copy writing, etc.Collaborate closely with the MARCOM and University Relations Teams to plan, coordinate, and execute BD-related events and conferences, to include, but not limited to: contribution to master scheduling of sequenced events and conferences, creating individual event and conference scope and timelines, identifying target audience(s), identifying and coordinating exhibition needs, coordinating social media campaigns, coordinating event deliverables and needs with on-site developers for projects under construction, completing other event and conference related duties as assigned in a timely manner, etc.Collaborate with MARCOM as relates to BD and P3 on product information and/or statistics, development of graphics, coordination of project attributes including photo shoots, videography, and identified media and/or content needs throughout the procurement process.Serve as a BD and P3 representative and/or consultant for internal departments on identified special projects, to include but not limited to: acquisitions/dispositions, master leases and contracts, investor relations proposals and presentations, award submissions, board books, BD and P3 related statistics, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) statistics and reports, project experience and prepared materials, content creation and copy-editing, university and student affairs outreach, etc.Responsible for managing final print production (including vendors), packaging, and delivery tracking of complete proposals by the stated submission deadline.Essential Duties: (Others May Be Assigned)

Fully participate in the business proposal life cycle, including but not limited to: strategic approach, request compliance, formatting/metrics, statements of qualification(s), presentations, inquiry response, best and final offers, decline letters, etc.Responsible for drafting, submitting, and keeping record of "Decline Letter" as requested by the BD team.Regularly coordinate, organize, write, and edit responses for proposals, project descriptions, blog/media posts, case studies (including video), etc. as assigned.Monitor bid sites for upcoming or active procurement activity to include, but not limited to: compiling and submitting team questions, track and distribute questions and response answers, track and distribute other related documentation and communicate to all necessary and/or identified team members, indicating an intent to bid, completing any additional tasks included in the portal, monitoring any ongoing Q&A boards, etc.Support general BD needs to include, but not limited to: creation of customized meeting materials for potential partners and/or internal stakeholders, coordination and content creation for presentations for internal and external audiences, creation of experience packets to highlight specific projects, etc. in-line with the Company branding guidelines and messaging of core capabilities and values.Provides additional desktop publishing, editing, formatting, and/or graphics for additional project-related materials required to support developers during pre-development and development phases as needed and/or requested.Regularly maintain and audit library of standard response narratives, design software templates, charts, statistics, icons, graphics, and property, lifestyles, and social media photography.Maintain and implement strong working knowledge of Company branding and messaging, copy writing and editing principles, best practices related to social and digital media, effective presentation development and delivery, emerging marketing and graphic design trends, etc.Provide administrative support for current BD and P3 database systems, and collaborate on the development, needs assessment, testing, etc. on future systems for affiliated departments.American Campus Communities Culture Commitments

Education/Experience:

3 - 5 years' experience in procurement proposal marketing, writing, editing, design and/or relevant student/conventional housing marketing.Bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or Communications preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Recent working experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator preferred.Certificates/Licenses:
