The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Marketing Manager Lead for our Bank Affiliate Marketing team.

This role can work from home from any location in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.

As a Marketing Manager Lead you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and scaling a compliant affiliate program for USAA Federal Savings Bank (example Credit Karma, NerdWallet, Bankrate, Lending Tree, etc). Able to build and evolve strategy based on experience-informed interpretation of program performance relative to business objectives. Direct program execution through internal, agency, platform, and publishing partners. Leverage data and analysis to dissect campaign performance and recommend program and partner enhancement opportunities.

Own execution of customer acquisition strategy for one or more bank products through the implementation of affiliate marketing campaigns that drive traffic, increase conversions and improve revenue. Identify, recruit and onboard new affiliates into the program while cultivating relationships with existing affiliates. Oversee and ensure the flawless execution of compliance governance controls and processes. Manage the affiliate program forecasting and budget as well as provide regular reporting.

Effective change agent that can get the job done and push mission forward while managing multiple partner interests and expectations along the way. Ensure the on-time, orderly flow of all projects from initiation to release, through responsible project delivery execution.

What you'll do:

Implements strategies and tactics to support the acquisition, development and retention of business and / or effectively manages agency to ensure alignment with goals and priorities over multiple products/strategies.

Applies expert knowledge of marketing principles to complex, and often unique work assignments.

Applies expert knowledge of the business, its products and processes, advising senior management on issues.

Leads and motivates cross functional team members in the development and implementation of key initiatives.

Serves as the primary resource for cross-functional team members on escalated issues of a unique nature.

Leads the process management role through the creation, monitoring and execution of new processes, in addition to enhancing current processes.

Assigns the appropriate level of resources for marketing programs based on key business goals and / or is responsible for leading the development and overall project management oversight of multiple marketing campaigns and go-to market plans.

Leads the facilitation and maintenance of data in internal systems and / or campaign planning tools and / or applies mathematical and statistical concepts to effectively gather and interpret data.

Directs analyses, root cause identification and development and recommendation of key work product.

Creates and uses a product and service strategy to leverage placement (distribution) principles and strategies to maximize business growth and / or makes appropriate recommendations based on evaluation of prospect / customer needs and receptivity.

Effectively follows the marketing process to coordinate and align peers, enterprise partners and senior management.

Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

8 or more years of relevant business support and / or general analysis experience.

Demonstrated leadership experience.

Subject-matter-expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools to include Word, Excel and Access.

Subject-matter-expert knowledge of relevant industry data sources.

What sets you apart:

Advertiser, agency, platform or publisher experience implementing a bank product affiliate marketing program (example Credit Karma, NerdWallet, Bankrate, Lending Tree, etc).

Experience contributing to the creation or transformation of a mature affiliate program for a financial institution.

Experience owning affiliate campaign forecasting and budgeting.

Experience successfully navigating and executing within a large, matrixed corporate environment.

Experience collaborating with key resources and partners, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals.

US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $109,130 - $208,580 .

Employee may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
