is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of the GIS database for BEC. This individual must already understand and be able to successfully perform the Essential Functions of a BEC GIS Technician position.
B.S. or B.A. degree in geographic information systems, geography, planning, landscaping architecture, civil engineering, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience may substitute at BEC’s discretion. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible GIS-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. GISP Certification and/or ESRI Certification is preferred, but not required.
