Position Summary: New Harbinger Publications is in search of an experienced and talented Marketing and Strategic Partnerships Manager to lead the launch of our new subscription service for therapists and drive sales of our live and on-demand courses, as well as books. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for shaping a compelling brand voice and narratives that deeply resonate with our target audience. You will focus on identifying, cultivating, and nurturing strategic partnerships with organizations, institutions, and companies that stand to benefit from our diverse product range. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between brand development and revenue generation. Job Responsibilities: • Develop, manage, and execute strategic merchandising, advertising, and marketing campaigns to drive subscription sales, adoption, and retention. • Drive user acquisition and accelerate growth of our paid digital memberships through organic channels including Newharbinger.com, enewsletters, email marketing, SEO, product enhancements and paid channels including search, social and other channels. • Leverage customer insights, competitive analysis, analytics, and creative thinking to create compelling pitch and lead gen tactics that drive subscription growth. • Consistently explore opportunities to connect with and involve new customer segments through various partnership strategies, including affiliate sales, bulk sales, private label offerings, and institutional subscriptions. • Possess an in-depth knowledge of all products and services offered by New Harbinger Publications to effectively identify appropriate strategic partnership opportunities, whether they involve subscriptions, books, online courses, or continuing education (CE) trainings. • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to bundle, cross-sell, or pivot strategies based on the specific needs of the customer/partner. • Create persuasive proposals that feature compelling narratives, illustrating how our product adds significant value for therapists and delivers tangible benefits for their clients. • Work closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and legal to execute partnership agreements and initiatives effectively. • Forecast subscription usage including discount, rates, orders, and revenue. • Manage annual sales forecasting and expense budgets. • Partner with Web Master on purchase funnel analytics and visit flows to develop the best user experience. • Write compelling, engaging, and keyword-rich marketing copy. • Conduct ongoing market research to inform positioning, messaging, pricing, and partnership strategies. • Oversee end-to-end partnership lifecycle, from sourcing to execution, fostering strong relationships and conceptualizing creative ideas. • Monitor performance metrics including revenue, pricing (including discounting) and product usage. • Create and implement a robust feedback loop to support further development and buildout of subscription service. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Sales and Marketing and the Publisher Requirements: • 5+ years of experience focused on email marketing and paid user acquisition for subscription and ecommerce-based consumer products. • Excellent writing skills. • Proven track record of driving paid subscriber growth and revenue in an entrepreneurial capacity, or with an established digital publisher. • Experience in paid user acquisition across major ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, etc.) • Proven experience working with creative teams to deliver high-quality and innovative advertising campaigns that drive growth. • Excellent strategy and execution expertise. • Experience with Google analytics and PowerBI. • Strong experience with A/B testing leveraging sophisticated measurement techniques and attribution models. • Robust understanding of subscription monetization and metrics such CACs. Qualifications: The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: ● College Degree or equivalent work experience ● 5+ years of subscription marketing ● Broad understanding of general consumer and B2B marketing tactics Language Ability: ● Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, strong emphasis on marketing copywriting and editing. Reasoning Ability: ● Creative thinker, with strong attention to detail ● Excellent time management skills ● Strong eye for design ● Ability to manage projects in parallel, pivot with time sensitive situations, and handle essential workload.
