We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary:Design, develop, and maintain the college district's cabling infrastructure and network performance related to ethernet, fast ethernet, switching technology, and fiber optic technology. Perform design maintenance of CADD drawings for cabling/contractors. Aid with contract electricians and cabling vendors to meet requirements related to college projects and systems.

Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain documentation materials for the college district's voice, data, and video network(s).Design, manage, and maintain WAN interconnectivity hardware/software as required to operate all WAN services successfully.Design, manage, and maintain districtwide UPS enterprise backup solution.Install and manage the installation of all voice, data, and video communications facilities and equipment.Design, develop, and maintain call routing for CUCM, Cisco call manager, and VoIP phone systems.Complete work orders and update network documentation.Manage contractor work.Interface with the district-employed architect, engineers, general contractors, electrical contractors, furniture vendors, and other district employees concerning the specification, installation, and coordination of services needed for the district-cabling infrastructure, including indoor and outdoor interconnectivity.Supplemental Functions

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical EffortMedium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, climbing and balancing, plus pushing, pulling and lifting. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting and intense noises. Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Occasional outside work. Occasional physical effort required.

RequirementsAssociate degree from an accredited institution required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferred.Five (5) years of related experience required. Six (6) years of related experience, preferred.

Licenses and CertificationsMust hold at least one (1) of the following unexpired certifications (or equivalent):Panduit Plus CertifiedCisco Certified SpecialistData Center DesignCompTIA Network+APC Certified OperatorCertified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
