ResponsibilitiesWork across a wide range of data engineering tasks - data extraction, data cleansing/processing, feature engineering, data integrity analysis, maintaining datasets, etc.Work with internal and external APIs to push or pull data.Estimate or forecast metrics and goals.Update/refine our forecasting tools and methodologies.Prototype, architect, and build tools (web applications, software systems) to automate and/or scale marketing processes.Develop solutions and build prototypes to marketing problems using algorithms or models based on machine learning, statistics, and optimization, and work with engineering to productionize those algorithms.Conceptualize and create datasets from raw data to be used for analysis and/or model building.Communicate findings to stakeholders to drive business and marketing decisions.Write documentation of tools, methods, and datasets.Be up to date on how Indeed products work (logging, tracking, etc.) and business goals.Position is in Seattle, WA. Up to 100% telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.Skills/CompetenciesMinimum Requirements:Primary Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent technical field;2 years of work experience in data science, machine learning, or data analytics;2 years of work experience in MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or T-SQL in the context of databases, cloud computing, or distributed computing;2 years of work experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, Go, Java, Julia, or Scala;2 years of work experience developing and deploying machine learning models, such as classification and regression, K-Means, SVM, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, Reinforcement Learning, or a similar cloud machine learning model;1 year of work experience in marketing analytics in the context of digital marketing, business intelligence, data visualization (Tableau or PowerBI), customer journey mapping, full stack web programming, or web API consumption;1 year of work experience OR academic coursework in Big Data analytics using BigQuery, Spark, Hive, or Presto;1 year of work experience OR academic coursework in Git version control-based systems and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines; and1 year of experience with Big Data in cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Apache Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, or a similar cloud computing platform.Experience may be gained concurrently.Alternate Minimum Requirements:Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent technical field;1 year of work experience in data science, machine learning, or data analytics;1 year of work experience in MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or T-SQL in the context of databases, cloud computing, or distributed computing;1 year of work experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, Go, Java, Julia, or Scala;1 year of work experience developing and deploying machine learning models, such as classification and regression, K-Means, SVM, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, Reinforcement Learning, or a similar cloud machine learning model;1 year of work experience in marketing analytics in the context of digital marketing, business intelligence, data visualization (Tableau or PowerBI), customer journey mapping, full stack web programming, or web API consumption;1 y
