User Experience (UX) developer

to support our client in the WMA.

ResponsibilitiesIf you come from the creative, User Experience (UX) background, this might the job for you! Our client is in need of someone with a strong UXbackground.

Responsibilities may include:

Perform website development and operations and maintenance (O&M) on internal communications platforms (e.g. Joomla, Talkabout, Wordpress, and SharePoint).

Manage website content and enable access to internal communication platforms (e.g. joomla, Talkabout, SharePoint, and blogs).

Engage on interactive and website development projects and provide recommendations on multimedia/communications design, content, and features based on the target consumer audience(s).

Conduct focus groups and user testing to define requirements

Develop interactive website conceptual wireframes and prototypes

Design user interfaces (UI)

Conduct website usability, accessibility, and functionality testing

Gather periodic website metrics

Rebuild Flash-based interactive elements.

Monitor websites for up-to-date content and make recommendations for areas of content update and renewal. Work products should be written in clear, plain, simple, concise, accurate language and be reviewed for spelling and grammar.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Certification (or degree preferred) in design, arts, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or other related business or human-computer interaction discipline is required

Minimum 2 years of experience in digital design, UI/UI design, or software product design

Experience with applications for design, wireframing, prototyping, generating icons, etc.

Strong portfolio of previous web and/or mobile work

A working knowledge of Design Thinking or Human Centered Design processes

An understanding of UX principles, patterns, and practices

Working knowledge of HTML and CSS

Basic knowledge of JavaScript

Preferred UX-related certification(s), such as those offered through Nielson Norman Group, GeneralAssemb.ly, Human Factors International, or LUMA Institute

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required
