Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research and Global Capital Markets.
Position Description
The ITARA team in Institutional Securities Technology (IST) division has an excellent opportunity for a senior Front-End Developer to lead our global development team. The successful candidate will have a solid background in UI development using JavaScript/Angular, excellent communication skills and be motivated to work in a fast-paced environment where time to market is paramount. You will lead and mentor a team of smart, motivated developers, helping them excel on their deliverables through design/architectural/code reviews and regular catchups and team development activities. You will work closely with end-users/product owners in Sales & Trading, Operations, Risk & Compliance etc. to prioritize, design and implement our next generation of user friendly, web-based interfaces on a suite of applications that cater to Metadata management, Trade Data Quality infrastructure and Trade reporting activities. This is a growing and important area of focus for the Firm.
You should have least 8 to 10 years of overall Web UI development experience using Typescript / JavaScript, preferably on the Angular framework. You should also have experience mentoring / leading small to medium sized teams. You should be comfortable with 3 tier architecture systems and be capable of employing a broad array of technical skills and eagerness to learn and grow both technical and financial domain knowledge. Experience on working in a full stack environment using Java/Python based web service frameworks will be a huge plus.
QualificationsSkills Required :
8 to 10 years' development experience in JavaScript, HTML5, Angular (or similar MVC framework)
Experience leading small to medium sized teams
Experience in working with business users and developing wireframes or prototypes for user interfaces
Experience on all aspects of SDLC
Knowledge in integrating Tableau dashboards with Angular/Web UIs
Strong communication skills
Nice to have:
Experience on Java/Python based web service frameworks is a plus
Experience on modern UI development libraries such as RxJS, ngRx etc
Some experience with SQL databases, Stored Procedures/Functions
