Position Purpose
The primary purpose of the position is to grow sales by providing knowledgeable technical solutions. The position works closely with other members of the team, and manufacturers’ representatives. The role requires strong communication skills, fanatical customer service, presentation skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide timely and accurate technical responses to representative sales teamConduct technical PowerPoint presentations to customersBe a part of the training classes for our new and existing representativesMaintain expert level of product and application knowledgeValidate equipment orders and submittal information for technical accuracyArticulate technology innovations and product offerings to internal and external customers including representativesAssist in the creation of marketing brochures, engineering bulletins and technical papersEstablish and cultivate relationships with customers and representativesServe as product expert being able to solve routine product/systems issuesEvaluate needs of the customer and provide technical solutions that best fit the company’s product portfolioWork with software development team to test selection software programs for QA purposesContact and meet with customers to discuss all aspects of our product offeringsMeet or exceed company margin goalsTravel to representative offices 5 to 10% of timeDevelop competitive analyses for our product offeringsKnowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Engineering or another technical field2+ years of experience preferredAbility to read technical drawings, schedules and specificationsStrong communication skills, problem-solving and follow upStrong negotiation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite
