Static Media’s site Wrestling Inc. is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working freelance news writers and TV recap contributors to join our team. These positions are work-from-home with flexible, stable hours. Location does not matter; U.S. and international candidates are encouraged to apply, but all applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of professional wrestling.

News Writers

We are looking for news writers who are able to write clearly and quickly while maintaining attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience covering pro wrestling for major outlets, with the ability to write on a variety of topics from short news blurbs to detailed articles. The ideal candidate will also be able to pitch ideas for original content as well as find unique and interesting angles in a story. The writer should also know how to mine social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter for topical coverage, as well as be up to date on the latest news.

TV Recap Contributors

We are looking for contributors who can provide recaps of shows like AEW Collision, ROH TV and pay-per-views, with the possibility of covering other shows. Ideal contributors are able to write clearly and quickly while maintaining attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have at least a year of experience doing coverage for a major outlet.

Writer Responsibilities:

• Claim article topics from a selection of assignments
• Pitch relevant and timely news stories
• Research and write news articles in a custom CMS
• Write content on a quick turnaround
• Follow the guidelines of our style guide, editorial strategy, and publishing standards to uphold quality of content

Experience:

News writer: Minimum two years editorial experience writing. Experience with building content in a CMS.

TV Recap Contributors: Minimum one year editorial experience writing. Experience with building content in a CMS.
