What you’ll be able to do:
Define system level objective acoustic performance targets and design the audio system in collaboration with other engineers from various cross-functional teams.
Design audio tuning strategies and tune the vehicle to deliver best in class audio experience from concept to production.
Lead the design, development and validation of in-house audio DSP systems.
Conduct acoustic tests and measurements to verify the audio system’s performance against targets and specifications as well as operational standards.
Develop the audio related vehicle features and work with the hardware, software, architecture, safety and other cross-functional teams to deliver said features.
Develop detailed electrical device transmittals for various audio components and own the document until production.
Report feature development progress and maturity at various program milestones.
The minimum requirements we seek:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Acoustics
Strong Electrical and Acoustic Systems Engineering fundamentals
5+ years of experience with Vehicle Network Protocols such as CAN, LIN & Automotive Ethernet
Experience and working knowledge of systems development, vehicle architecture, emerging audio technologies, software/hardware tool development, audio tuning and calibration, functional safety, network and diagnostics process.
5+ years of experience in development and implementation of automotive audio DSP systems and tuning of vehicle audio systems.
5+ years of experience in audio signal processing, acoustics, psychoacoustics, and automotive audio system integration.
5+ years of experience DSP programming, acoustic simulation, and acoustic analysis software and with acoustic measurement and system calibration tools and methodologies
Preferred Requirements
:
Master’s Degree Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Acoustics or related field
Passion for automotive audio systems, particularly DSP and vehicle acoustics
Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Experience in leading product development from concept to deployment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement
