We focus on high-end, luxurious residential remodels including bathrooms, kitchens, whole house, Additions, and ADUs. Our service area is localized from Oakland/Piedmont to El Cerrito (very little travel).(In office) East Bay-based residential Design+Build company is seekinga residential designer. Roles and ResponsibilitiesResidential Designer able to manage 3-5 projects concurrentlyPrepare permit sets and construction documents for productionKeep track of project budgets and update construction contractsMeet with potential clients and prepare estimatesQualificationsLicense/degree or certification in Interior DesignFive years of experience as a designer primarily on single-family residential projectsExperience working in a Design + Build environmentHighly proficient with AutoCAD or SketchUp up Pro.Highly knowledgeable about fixtures and finishes for kitchens and bathroomsStrong aesthetic sense for helping clients select the finishes for their remodeling projectsStrong working knowledge of California building codes, Title 24, and municipal codesBasic understanding of construction practices and construction administration ideal candidate will also have these skills:Ability to work directly with clientsSpec and design interior finish materialsWell organized with good attention to detail and accuracyHighly Proficient at project management.Able to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAble to communicate effectively in person and in writingWorks effectively with a variety of personality typesBasic Excel and Word skillsPhotoshop a plusLives locally with access to a vehicle
