JOB SUMMARY
The Multimedia Content Producer works closely with ECS staff to create content promoting ECS programs and effectively tells the ECS story to the agency’s core audiences: program stakeholders, donors, and staff. While responsive to all ECS staff, the role is the primary connection point between Programs, Advocacy, and the Marketing and Communications Department, working with staff to create stories, photos, and videos that engage ECS audiences.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent can perform the following essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation(s):
Engage in the learning culture at ECS, using evaluation as applicable for the position.The Multimedia Content Producer generates consistent content output (photos, videos, articles, blog posts, etc.) aligned with ECS institutional strategy and annual content calendars.Is the first point of contact for program staff to help promote events and workshops and to execute and plan for coverage of the events and workshops.Works with program staff to develop longer-term communications plans for events, workshops, and activities.Creates and maintains annual ECS content calendar (tied closely to ECS events/workshops calendar)Leads content update portions of weekly team meetings.Post relevant material to the ECS intranet and ECS website.Works with staff who are interested in contributing to ECS stories, advising on best practices for video, photography, and blog writing.
Education and Experience
Experience working in institutional communications and marketing or similar environments.Collegial – experienced as a “yes and” person by colleagues.
Skills and Abilities
Strong content creation and storytelling skills, including writing, editing, photography, and video.Ability to handle multiple projects and timeframes.Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines.Motivated by the ECS mission and interested in working with department leadership to build up the communications role supporting the ECS mission.Ability to work in a learning environment, learn new skills, and be open to new opportunities.
