This is a joint role in both purchasing and pharmacy. Responsibilities will include: Purchasing details: Purchase and maintain all inventory, medical supplies, and medical equipment Actively follow-up with all deliveries and ensure timely delivery of material. Receive and unpack deliveries. Maintain a record of all invoices and purchase orders. Organize, stock and maintain supply rooms Daily organization and stocking of pharmacy Inventory counts and audits for all hospital product and supplies. Check regularly for expired stock, monitor product recalls. Monitor and clearly communicate backordered items Monitor and audit product turnover, rotation, and expiration date. Develop and maintain contacts with suppliers and sales/service representatives Implement and maintain product lists and inventory in Impromed software Resourcefully evaluate, compare costs and identify savings to get the best price while maintaining the highest quality of patient care. Understands medical terminology, abbreviations, and key medical terms. Pharmacy details: Fill medications for patients for in a timely manner Ensure appropriate labels are placed for client instruction Facilitate refills for clients work with individual doctors on approving refills Educate other technicians and assistants about medications Ensure medication policies are upheld Ensuring prescription food requests are completed in a timely manner About you: CVT or Veterinary Technician is a plus! Experience working in a veterinary setting is required Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community Positive outlook and friendly, team-orientated attitude Excellent communication and organizational skills The ability to deliver exceptional client service Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!
