Director of Marketing . This a remote position with regular travel to our Headquarters in Moline, IL and occasional travel to our other facilities in Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, and Atlanta, GA. Since 1936, Elliott Aviation has been a world-class provider of comprehensive and customer-focused solutions for business aviation. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans for the organization, managing public relations communications and publications, leading events and promotions, and assisting with employment brand strategy deployment.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Directing all company internal and external corporate communications, with the primary focus of generating sales leads and furthering the company’s brand.Developing and executing marking strategies by working closely with upper management and business area leaders to gather information and identify opportunities.Utilizing an integrated mix of direct marketing, print advertising, internet and other tactics to complete objectives, including working with advertising agencies to develop annual communications plans.Operating a consistent media relations program by identifying potential news stories, issuing news releases, and fostering strong working relationships members of the national aviation trade press.Identifying marketing opportunities by staying connected with appropriate activities throughout the company.Managing the creation of electronic and traditional presentations for sales staffs, corporate needs, human resources, company recruiting efforts, new business opportunities, and other purposes.Guiding the development and production of all company collateral materials.Maintaining systems to track effectiveness of marketing activities.Providing marketing support to aircraft and technical sales staff and other company managers as appropriate.Partner with VP of HR to develop and deploy a strong employment brand to attract top talent. Develop tactics to deploy the brand to increase applicant flow and career awareness in the industry.Regularly reviewing all processes to achieve continuous improvement.Top candidates will possess:
Business-to-business direct mail experience; print advertising experience helpfulSocial/Digital Marketing expertFamiliar with commercial print production processesResults-oriented, self-starter; ability to lead the marketing aspect of the companyExceptional organizational skills/detail orientedAbility to manage multiple projects and set priorities in a high-pressure work environmentAbility to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaintsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to top management, customers, and the general public.Other requirements include:
4-year degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or equivalent8 years of experience in a direct marketing position5 years of experience in a marketing leadership role with strategic marketing oversightExceptional organizational skills/detail orientedExceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skillsComputer proficiency, including familiarity with Windows-based software applications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop and PageMakerOccasional travel and the ability to work occasional nights and weekendsBenefits & Perks
