The position is responsible for the conceptualization and execution of certain proprietary and client publications in PBMG’s custom publishing division. The position reports to the editorial director of Palm Beach Media Group.
Duties:
Liaise with the management teams of client companies to produce exciting editorial and marketing-focused content appropriate to each title
Edit, assign, and manage the workflow for multiple titles at a time
Carry a significant writing load
Be responsible for the delivery of each issue according to the company’s quality standards and production deadlines
Contribute to the company’s other publications and websites
Execute strategic new print and/or digital assignments during down times in the custom publishing production cycle to help the company grow
Requirements:
Degree in journalism, English, marketing, communications, or similar. Master’s preferred.
Minimum 5 years in an editorial and/or marketing communications leadership role
Proven leadership ability and excellent editorial judgment
Strong knowledge of every facet of magazine production
Excellent interpersonal skills
Creativity, vision, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate, both within the office and with clients
Experience with both print and digital editorial platforms
Strong communication and time management skills and the ability to deliver quality work under deadline
Strong research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
A capacity to undertake a wide range of responsibilities and juggle multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm
A marketing or PR background a plus
