KBR is seeking a Software Application and Web Developer to support government customers in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
The Software Application and Web Developer role provides the expertise and experience to establish and maintain a development environment, incorporating industry standards and best practices, to enable management of development epics and support an agile sprint development schedule. This individual will also provide support, maintenance, and continued updates of the business process applications in use, while pursuing epics to consolidate disparate business processes into a single, cloud-based capability.
Responsibilities :
Apply industry standards and best practices for managing test tool and software development, including discrepancy tracking, reporting, and resolution.
Utilize industry best practices for development, testing, staging, and production environments, including Infrastructure as Code, Platform as a Service constructs, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools, design for failure architecture, containerization of services, and continuous monitoring.
Establish and maintain an agile sprint development environment supporting web tools and test tool development, adhering to agile methodologies.
Manage and maintain content for the customer web presence across multiple security domains, including site design, content updates, web metrics collection, and access support.
Perform installation, customization, support, maintenance, license updates, configurations, and monitoring of business process applications within the internal support environment.
Develop a consolidated business process tool, replacing current project management capabilities, and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
Provide automated and manual test management capabilities, including test objectives, procedures, plans, documentation, and cycle structure design.
Design, develop, and maintain databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other specified) for test-related web and tools projects.
Attend and support customer planning events and technical meetings, participate in vendor product reviews, and daily startup and wrap-up meetings.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years of related experience (additional professional experience may substitute for a degree).
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Well-versed in software engineering methodologies and processes.
Experience with web design, administration, and database-driven applications (PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS), security concepts, and collaboration software.
Familiarity with Python coding, requirements and design analysis, and testing and configuration management tools such as Git.
Knowledge of GIS systems and tools (commercial or open source), including OGC specifications like WMS, WFS, WCS, spatial data, and coordinate systems.
Security Clearance Requirements :
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
