Overview
Oversees Institute visual identity and branding, ensuring messages and materials are linked to a common and agreed-upon set of core goals and business strategies set by institute leadership, and there is consistency in messaging across all platforms and materials. Tracks engagement across various platforms and uses data-driven decisions to shape messaging and platform use/selection.
Develops and evaluates key messages for print and digital materials and briefing materials for institute leadership, faculty, and staff.
Develops and maintains relationships with key news sources (internal, local, national, and international) with a focus on issues related to the Institute.
Manages Institute presence at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
Advises Institute leadership on communication strategies and responses to breaking news, reputational impacts, major decisions and events.
Supervises an assistant and 1-3 student interns.
Develops and manages communications and marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Leading, mentoring, and developing the communications and marketing team to achieve Institute strategic communications and marketing plan goals.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree with 9 years experience, including 4 years in leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors or masters degree with 10+ years experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
Strong graphic design/layout skills with experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop), MS Publisher, and Canva.
Experience with WordPress or other web content management systems and social media platforms.
Able to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality with discretion and good judgment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Familiarity with large-format printing.
