The Creators organization at Amazon seeks an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a core engineering team and help re-imagine social shopping. The Creator Compensation and Rates Engine (CARE) team addresses fundamental challenges in the creator economy by determining and deploying optimal compensation strategies that drive creator success and business value. We focus on optimizing spend and maximizing creator engagement through sophisticated compensation models, serving as the source of truth for compensation across Amazon's creator ecosystem. As Amazon and the Associates Program grow rapidly, continuous innovation is essential. We are launching new products, processes, and economic models to test different compensation/payment strategies. We seek results-oriented leaders who can leverage big data and analytical techniques to deliver scalable solutions. In this role, you will lead an engineering team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying customer-facing technology products. You should possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and business judgment. You will build, scale, and shape the business direction, ensuring services are deployed globally, deliver excellent customer experiences, and partner with product management and senior leaders to ensure success. Lead end-to-end architecture, design, implementation, support, and evaluation of technology-focused tools and services. Provide leadership and innovation in designing and implementing services for new products and services. Evaluate complex business and technical requirements, communicate risks and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Act as the main point of contact for project deliverables, managing expectations, priorities, technologies, and human factors. Establish consistent project management processes, standards, and security guidelines across the enterprise. Effectively hire, develop, and manage team performance. A day in the life

3+ years of engineering team management experience 7+ years of direct experience working within engineering teams 3+ years of designing or architecting systems (patterns, reliability, scaling) 8+ years of leading the development of multi-tier web services Knowledge of full software/hardware/network development lifecycle practices Experience partnering with product or program management teams Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications
