Description

The tvOS UI Frameworks team works on the UIKit and SwiftUI frameworks that are used by our 1st party and 3rd party app developers to create the best possible experiences on tvOS while catering to diverse development needs. Engineers on the tvOS UI Frameworks team work closely with our core UIKit and SwiftUI counterparts to deliver a single cross-platform UI framework for iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS while also contributing with tvOS specific bits needed specifically for the platform. As a result, the role in the tvOS UI Framework team is highly rewarding as an engineer with ample opportunities for growth. In this role, you will be working on SwiftUI as a part of the tvOS UI Frameworks team and cross-functionally with the core SwiftUI team. You'll be responsible for proposing, implementing, and presenting new APIs to cater to developers' needs specifically for tvOS. Conversely, you'll also be responsible for adapting APIs proposed by the core SwiftUI team for the tvOS platform.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Adept at object-oriented programming and design with 2+ years of experience
2. Aptitude for working on frameworks and APIs with 2+ years of experience
3. Excel at communicating with a diverse team that includes engineers, designers, program managers, and evangelists
4. Unbridled attention to detail
5. Experience in writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code
6. Debugged performance problems, able to root out performance bottlenecks and shipped code that was optimized to get the most out of the limited CPU and memory resources available
7. Love the idea of ownership and being an educator for framework adopters
8. Aptitude for independently learning new technologies
9. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

UIKit/SwiftUI knowledge is highly preferred.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
