Key job responsibilities As an Applied Scientist in the Content Understanding Team, you will lead research and deployment of video and multi-modal models for various applications. Specifically, you will: Translate customer problems into scientific research and design solutions. Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to deepen product insights, develop experiments, and plan high-impact projects. Stay current with advancements in modeling techniques. Publish research in top conferences and journals. About The Team The Prime Video Content Understanding team develops holistic media representations (e.g., scene descriptions, semantic embeddings) for customer experiences and supply chain problems. Our technology covers the entire Prime Video catalog globally, enabling features like instant recaps, skip intro, ad placement, search, and content moderation. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of experience building models for business applications. PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years of CS, CE, ML, or related experience. Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or similar languages. Experience with computer vision techniques. Preferred Qualifications Experience with real-time video processing models.
