Fontainebleau Development . Position Summary The Associate will support the Development department and report to the Senior Vice President of Development. The position involves assisting in managing various aspects of design and development through the entire project lifecycle across multiple asset categories and project types, including ground-up development, repositionings, and CapEx/project improvements. Description Associate – Design and Development The role requires strong design coordination skills and basic project management experience. Candidates should have a background in architecture or interior design, with experience in coordinating with consultants (MEP, Structural, ARCH, etc.), managing contracts and scopes, and overseeing owner design management, external teams, visualization, 3D modeling, and project tracking. Projects include condo, hospitality, gaming/entertainment, multi-family, resort, and F&B sectors, offering exposure to large-scale projects in South Florida. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to meet project milestones. Support in preparing and maintaining design consultant scopes and contracts. Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and document minutes. Relay ownership comments to consultants and track their integration. Assist with drawing, 3D modeling, visualization, and rendering processes. Support entitlement and permitting processes, including working with land use attorneys. Oversee project execution, including shop drawings and punchlists. Assist in creating and managing consultant scopes, contracts, and invoices. Coordinate across internal departments (legal, sales, construction, finance, accounting). Support administrative tasks and report regularly to the SVP of Development. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Architecture, Interior Design, or related; advanced degrees are a plus. At least 4 years of experience in design or development. Experience in South Florida and/or New York. Proficiency with design tools: Blue Beam, CAD, Sketchup/Revit/Rhino, Adobe CC. Basic drawing and 3D modeling skills. Experience with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of the design process and managing design consultants. Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills. Based in Miami-Dade or able to commute to Aventura, FL. Seniority level
