We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to assist us with the development and maintenance of our public-facing vision benefits web site. The ideal candidate will possess experience working as a web developer who can develop complex features spanning from the presentation layer to the data access layer.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance existing and add new functionality to the company web site
• Participate in web site testing and quality assurance
• Prepare documentation describing design, coding, and comprehensive testing scenarios
• Provide off-hours support for releases
• Troubleshoot web-related issues
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must have high level of competency in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting production-quality web sites.
• Professional Web application programming experience including expert knowledge of Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, EJB, JDBC, and XML
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, WordPress a plus
• Experience with web services and SAML required
• Familiar with web-framework based development (JSF, MVC)
• Experience with Eclipse IDE, Subversion source code management tool, and Ant
• Understand responsive web design, internet standards, and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience working with database systems such as DB2 and a good working knowledge of SQL
• BS in Computer Science or related field/degree, and/or equivalent work experience
• Experience with mobile development a plus
