Job Description
We are seeking an intermediate-to-advanced web designer/developer skilled in web design with a solid understanding of user interface and front-end concepts. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and constructing web pages, incorporating the latest GUI features and techniques;
- Maintaining and updating website designs and graphics;
- Exhibiting proficiency in SharePoint operations and administration;
- Following best practices in web design;
- Producing wireframes and mockups, and developing designs using HTML and CSS;
- Performing testing and providing peer feedback;
- Assisting with refactoring legacy ColdFusion code and rewriting it in PHP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field;
- 3-6 years of relevant experience (or 7-10 years of equivalent experience);
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator;
- Experience with server-side programming in ColdFusion and/or PHP;
- Knowledge of web standards, best practices, and trends in technology;
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming;
- Experience designing standards-compliant websites;
- SharePoint 2010 or above site administration experience;
- Experience with ColdFusion to PHP migration;
- Knowledge of MVC frameworks and version control systems (e.g., Subversion);
- Experience with enterprise Content Management Systems.
