The Data Visualization Manager will serve as a strategic, hands-on Manager and lead initiatives to help shape the future of data visualization within Westfield. This role will help to consolidate BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos used over many years to Power BI. This change is being made as Westfield moves data into a new Atlas data environment (on Snowflake). The Data Visualization Manager will help drive efforts to design, develop and implement Power BI to meet the growing needs of the organization.
The Data Visualization Manager will help lead the community of BI developers and Business Performance Analysts in building compelling narratives and actionable insights enabling stakeholders to extract maximum value from our data assets. The role establishes and enforces IT policies and procedures, ensures compliance with data privacy regulations, and implements robust security measures to protect the organization's digital assets. The role also involves budgeting and resource allocation, vendor management, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Job Responsibilities
Defining the BI strategy and roadmap for Power BI implementation.
Translating business requirements into technical specifications for Power BI solutions.
Leading the development and implementation of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and security within Power BI solutions.
Guiding and mentoring a team of BI developers.
Providing technical leadership and expertise in Power BI development.
Fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Designing and optimizing data models within Power BI for efficient reporting.
Developing interactive and visually compelling Power BI reports and dashboards.
Providing mentorship, training and support to end-users on Power BI and analytics tools.
Staying abreast about the latest Power BI features, emerging trends, and best practices in data visualization and reporting.
Continuously improving the organization's BI capabilities and data-driven decision-making
Owns accountability for talent management and navigation of employee related issues that impact morale and work environment to ensure a high performing team including hiring, selection, succession planning, performance and compensation management, and employee development and career coaching as required.
Manages priorities and workload distribution and removes barriers that impede progress.
Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and prioritize projects, ensuring their successful implementation and timely delivery.
Evaluates and selects vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and managing ongoing relationships.
Monitors and maintains compliance with relevant regulations, security protocols, and data privacy policies.
Develops and manages the budget, tracking expenses and identifies cost-saving opportunities.
Job Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or commensurate experience.
Master's degree in related field is preferred.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
Location
Hybrid – defined as working three or more days per week in the office if the employee’s residence is within 50 miles of Westfield Center, OH; or Remote – if the employee resides more than 50 miles from Westfield Center, OH.
