Job Description The Department of Defense (DOD), Office of Inspector General (OIG), established in 1982 by the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, DOD OIG is an independent agency that conducts oversight and identifies, deters, and detects fraud, waste, and abuse in DOD operations and programs. The investigative arm of the DOD OIG is the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), which works closely with law enforcement agencies to conduct criminal investigations of matters critical to DOD property, programs, and operations, with an emphasis on life, safety, and readiness. The importance of the DOD OIG oversight work is signified by the enormity of the Department's mission, the numerous assets that DOD utilizes to accomplish its mission, the magnitude of the $600 billion budget, and the over 3 million personnel who are part of the DOD family. The DOD OIG's oversight work balances the needs and requests of both the DOD and Congress. The purpose of this contract effort is to acquire various levels of support to assist each of the components in accomplishing prospective activities. The ISN DoD OIG IT Contract Support Services Visual Communications Manager will oversee professional photography and graphics design support, plan, analyze, and create visual solutions that meet internal and external communication and outreach requirements. This includes producing promotional displays, communication materials such as brochures, posters, and fact sheets, and signage systems for both print and electronic mediums. Services will be provided using industry-standard programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Publisher, Project, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Bridge), and Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. Tasks include: Producing graphics such as illustrations, art renderings, cartooning, and logo design for print and electronic publication. Creating original art, design, and graphics support for products like posters, charts, brochures, newsletters, badges, and signage. Supporting the design and development of complex graphics and illustrations for technical materials, reports, manuals, and publications. Developing optimized graphics and interactive media for web pages and social media platforms. Providing digital photography support, including editing and technical correction for official personnel photos and documentation of OIG activities and events. Managing graphic and photographic projects from conception to completion. Qualifications +7 years of relevant oversight experience in the detailed task areas. Must pass and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance throughout the contract duration. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
