Senior Network Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA Position Type: Full-time, Exempt Encompass is a global technology services company focused on supporting broadcast, cable, and digital leaders. We design, implement and operate reliable video solutions that capture, process and deliver our clients' video content from any source, in any format, to any destination in the most efficient manner possible. Main Purpose: The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the configuration, deployment and support Encompass' global networking infrastructure in support of its products and services. The role will be part of a multi-regional network engineering team which will provide support to all Encompass' regional operations. Principal Responsibilities: The Senior Network Engineer will, under the guidance and direction of their manager, perform the following duties with respect to the company operated digital systems. Deploy and implement networking infrastructure supporting both broadcast and corporate networks Undertake corrective maintenance as necessary to restore any failed equipment to full working order Undertake preventative maintenance to ensure the digital systems are fully operational 24x7 to maintain at least a 99.999% service uptime for all supported services (includes after hours support as needed) Ensure all deployments comply with the appropriate security standards including ISO 27001, and SOC 2 Liaise with third party vendors (e.g. equipment vendors and software providers) during fault resolution and new platform evaluations Maintain detailed documentation and drawings as required to address growth and maintenance activities Provide users and clients with professional, courteous, and timely technical support Required Experience 10+ years of multi-protocol networking experience in high availability environments Multicast network configuration and troubleshooting (PIM, IGMP v2/v3 experience). Large broad scope project experience BGP, OSPF, IPv4 and IPv6, private and public peering MLAG, VSS, Cisco vPC, STP Cisco L2/3 switches (Catalyst or Nexus), spine and leaf topologies Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls, Meraki security appliances Palo Alto firewalls and security features Security Standards application (ISO 27001, SOC, TPN) Preferred Experience SMPTE 2110, SMPTE 2059/IEE1588 PTP Arista switching platforms Fortinet firewalls Linear video streaming protocols NMS Administration MPLS Networking Cloud Infrastructure Administration Broadcast Video Workflows - option Skills, Education, and/or Certifications Required: A degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. electronic engineering or software development) would be preferred Technical knowledge of IP networking including a CCNP Routing and Switching qualification and/orNetwork administration and/or management certification Encompass, a leader in digital media services, owns and operates state-of-the-art, broadcast facilities throughout the United States, Latin America, United Kingdom and Asia.
